About the Artist Herman H. Ferrell was born and raised in Hammond, Louisiana, where his artistic talent emerged early. When he wasn't hunting or fishing the waterways of southeastern Louisiana, he was refining the techniques that became distinctly his own. A graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a major in Art, Ferrell channeled his deep affection for Louisiana's lazy rivers, moss-draped bayous, and lush green farmlands into his paintings. His works have been featured and purchased by collectors throughout the United States.
