Item Description:

This beautifully proportioned vintage vase commands attention with its dramatic, flame-like drip glaze treatment. The upper half is blanketed in a sandy, gritty cream glaze with a fine crystalline texture that catches light with a subtle sparkle. From the shoulder downward, rich teal and aqua glaze cascades in bold vertical streams over a warm yellow-green underglaze, creating a layered, painterly effect with visible crackle crazing throughout — a deliberate artistic technique that adds incredible visual depth and texture.

The ovoid silhouette is classic and timeless — full-bodied through the lower half, tapering gracefully to a short, rounded collar neck. The base shows an unglazed cream foot ring with no maker's mark, suggesting either a small regional pottery, studio pottery production, or a piece whose mark has simply been lost to time. The reverse side shows a predominantly teal lower body with the same graceful drip pattern.
