2.5” Rare  Vintage U.S. Army 2-Ounce Lubricating Oil Can.

Dating to the Korean War / Early Cold War era, this can was intended for use by soldiers to maintain small arms and weapons. The rustic condition, with its deep patina and rust, only enhances its authenticity and visual appeal for display in a garage, workshop, or military collection.

• FULL CONTENTS: The can is original and still contains the lubricant oil, which can be heard sloshing inside (sold only as a collectible artifact—DO NOT OPEN).

• DATED 1952: The contract number printed on the side contains the key date code (52), confirming manufacture in 1952.

• MARKINGS: Clearly marked with 2 OUNCE, OIL-LUBR PRES SP (PL-SP), and manufacturer R. M. Hollingshead Corp., Camden, N. J.

• Dimensions: Approximately 2.5” tall and perfectly sized for display or to fit into a cartridge belt.

Condition Note

This is an authentic piece of military surplus, used, and decades old. The can exhibits heavy surface rust and deep patina over the original olive drab military paint. The screw cap is stuck fast and rusted.
