Historic Salem Oak Candlestick (2) CSBH

These vintage candlestick holders are crafted from the historic Salem Oak tree, estimated to be over 500 years old and renowned for its association with John Fenwicke's 1675 peace treaty with the Lenape tribe in Salem, New Jersey. Made in 1975 by Leon Miesse, the caretaker of the cemetery where the venerable tree stood, these rustic pieces each measure approximately 5 3/4 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches tall, with a 7/8 inch candle hole. Their unique provenance makes them tangible pieces of American history.
