This is a vintage mid-20th-century octagonal low bowl or planter produced by Brush Pottery Co. in Roseville, Ohio, USA (often marked simply as “Brush USA”). It features a subtle, earthy sand tone (tan/mustard yellow) glaze with a slightly textured surface typical of Brush’s utilitarian stoneware line. The shape has eight shallow sides, giving it a faceted, geometric appearance, and it’s designed for use as a planter, candy dish, or small serving bowl. The bottom is impressed with “J-7” (model number), a partial or faded “BRUSH” mark, and “USA.” Measures about 5.5 inches across and 1.5-2 inches deep; no chips or cracks in good examples.
